C-. . PF-C. Brooklyn Nets. KAMARI MURPHY

Kamari Murphy had a decent Summer League run. He played a good amount of minutes as a combo big at the 4 and 5 positions.

On the offensive end of the floor, Murphy shot the ball poorly. His mid-range game was not good as he shot 35.7 percent overall and missed all four of his 3-point attempts.. He would commonly shoot too often instead of making the extra pass.

Murphy can drive the ball, but has trouble finishing through contact.

On the defensive end, Murphy is not the best defender. Opposing players would commonly drive past the forward, leading to easy points. He was a clear target on the defensive end of the floor. One problem in his defense is giving his opponents too much space.

Due to the space issue, players would be able to easily shoot an open shot or drive into him.

Overall, he could have played better in the Summer League. It is not likely Murphy will see a training camp invite his way and his future is uncertain.
