LAS VEGAS, NV – JULY 11: Trevor Thompson #55 of the Brooklyn Nets goes to the basket against the Houston Rockets during the 2018 Las Vegas Summer League on July 11, 2018 at the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada. Trevor Thompson played 44 minutes in four games with the Brooklyn Nets Summer League team at the center position. He had to compete for minutes against his Summer League teammates Jarrett Allen and Tyler Davis.

Unfortunately for Thompson, he got the short end of the stick at the center position and averaged the fewest minutes.

On the offensive end, Thompson averaged 6.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. He is not a shooting big man, which limited his game and was a factor in minutes. He did play OK down low for the Nets, but had trouble defending the paint.

When he was on the floor, opposing teams commonly targeted down low and Thompson needed help.

Overall, Thompson had a decent Summer League run. Despite the decent run, it is unlikely he will be at Brooklyn’s training camp in the fall.
