PHILADELPHIA, PA – APRIL 03: Brooklyn Nets Forward DeMarre Carroll (9) drives against Philadelphia 76ers Forward Robert Covington (33) in the first half during the game between the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers on April 03, 2018 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. DeMarre Carroll (Forward)

DeMarre Carroll had a career year in his first season as a Brooklyn Net. He set career highs and nearly doubled all of his stats from his 2016-17 showing with the Toronto Raptors. Carroll also played a huge role as a leader on a team filled with young players.

This offseason, there was a chance Carroll would be traded to free up cap space. As of now, Carroll will be a Brooklyn Net next season and should be. He is a great player to not only have on the court, but also in the locker room.

Carroll can play either small forward or a stretch 4 for Brooklyn. He shoots the ball from all areas of the court at a high level and can drive to the basket through traffic. He thrives in Atkinson’s small-ball offense and is a great player on the defensive end.

He is a good steal threat who can take charge on the defensive end. Carroll does a good job switching on the defensive end and guarding players bigger than him.

Carroll has a good chance of starting at either the 3 or at the 4. Despite his chances of starting, he can be a great weapon off the bench for Brooklyn.
