Rodions Kurucs (Forward)

Rodions Kurucs was drafted in June by the Brooklyn Nets with the 40th overall pick. He ws bought out of his FC Barcelona contract by Brooklyn and will be a Net for the 2018-19 season.

Kurucs can play either at the stretch 4 or at the small forward position for Brooklyn. He is known to be a scorer who drives the ball at a high level. To go along with his driving ability, Kurucs can shoot from both mid-range and from behind the arc.

Primarily, he is a mid-range scorer, but he brings depth to Brooklyn’s frontcourt off the bench.

On the defensive end, he uses his size and length to guard multiple positions. He is a decent defender, but he might have some size issues coming into the NBA. Opposing players will target him on the defensive end, which can lead to possible foul trouble.

Kurucs main role for Brooklyn will be to come off the bench and score. He is an aggressive scorer and can play solid defense at the other end.

The Brooklyn Nets recently inked Kurucs on a four-year deal, proving they are all-in on Kurucs and will patiently develop his play.

Kurucs did not play for the Brooklyn Nets in Summer League, so it is hard to judge how well he will adjust to NBA-level talent.
