  • Davis would spend parts of the next three seasons with the Toronto Raptors, but did not get a bigger role. He came off the bench for a majority of each season averaging 24.0 minutes, 7.7 points and 6.8 rebounds.

After during his third season in Toronto, Davis was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in a three-team deal on Jan. 30, 2013.

A short tenure with the Memphis Grizzlies

Davis played one full season and part of another with the Memphis Grizzlies. Like his time as a Raptor, Davis came off the bench, but got fewer minutes and touches. He was traded to the Grizzlies halfway through 2012-13 and played in a total of 36 games.

Davis only started in four of them, averaging 15.1 minutes, 5.1 points and 4.4 rebounds.

The 2013-14 season was a brighter season for Davis, who was still coming off the bench. He played 63 games but only started in four of them as he was stuck behind the star-packed frontcourt duo of Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph.

His playing time was nearly identical to his first partial season inb Memphis at 15.2 minutes and his scoring went up to 5.7 points per game. On June 30, 2014, the Memphis Grizzlies declined to extend Davis a qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent.

His one season under the Staples Center lights

On July 23, 2014, Davis agreed to a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers in hopes of landing a bigger role and proving himself. Well, Davis got more starting time, but still came off the bench for a majority of the 2014-15 season.

Davis played 79 games for the Lakers, starting in 24 of them. In 23.3 minutes a game, his scoring went up to 8.3 points per game, but he decided to hop on to his fourth NBA team the following season.

Davis’ three seasons as a Portland Trail Blazer

On July 9, 2015, Davis agreed to a three-year, $20 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers. Heading into the 2015-16 season, Davis knew he would not get a starting job, but this deal was the best one on the table.

    More from Nothin' But Nets

He played 81 games for the Trail Blazers, but did not start a single game. He embraced his role off the bench in his first season due to the amount of court action he saw.

He averaged 20.8 minutes a game and was a dominant force on the defensive end coming off the bench, but could not get his scoring up. He averaged 6.5 points off the bench, but was one of Portland’s top options off the bench.

The 2016-17 season was a little brighter for Davis, initially. He got some starting time, but have some trouble staying healthy. He only played 46 games, but started in 12 of those games. He averaged 17.2 minutes and his scoring average fell to 4.3 points per game.

Overall, Davis had a solid season, but his injuries were costly to his production.

His final season with Portland was good. His main role was to come off the bench, with Jusuf Nurkic starting at center most of the time, with Al-Farouq Aminu taking on a role as a small 4.

Davis played in a total of 78 games, all off the bench. He did average 18.9 minutes, which was one of Portland’s leading bench players, but did not get a lot of touches in Portland’s guard-dominated attack. He ended his final season in Portland averaging 5.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
