The Brooklyn Nets, in their various iterations, have had some outstanding individual performances. Here are the 25 best individual games in team history.

Through the end of the 2017-18 season, 468 players have worn the franchise’s various uniforms for at least one regular-season appearance, from Quincy Acy to Derrick Zimmerman, over the course of 51 seasons.

More from Nothin' But Nets

During their days in the ABA as the New Jersey Americans and New York Nets, the club sent nine different players to the All-Star Game. Since coming to the NBA in 1976 and competing as the New York Nets, New Jersey Nets and Brooklyn Nets, 14 more players joined the All-Star list.

Julius Erving won or shared three ABA Most Valuable Player awards as a member of the Nets. Three Nets have won the Rookie of the Year award in either the ABA or NBA. Six Nets have been All-NBA selections and two have been named All-Defensive.

From their ABA days, the club had four All-ABA honorees and three players selected All-Defensive.

So there have been some terrific individual efforts along the way to two ABA titles and 7 playoff appearances in nine ABA seasons and two NBA Finals appearances and 19 playoff berths in 42 years as an NBA club.

What makes up a great individual game? Scoring a ton of points, getting seemingly every rebound, filling the stat sheet in every column? Yes, yes and yes. But it can also be a great moment or sequence of moments or just doing something no one else in team history has done.

The Nets franchise has played 4,140 regular-season games in its history. Multiply that by 468 players and that’s a big selection to cull down to 25. Your memory might recall things differently (as I am fond of saying when putting together lists such as these, your mileage may vary).

But that is also part of the allure of being a sports fan — the debates, the arguments, the discussions. So here are the 25 greatest individual games in the history of the Brooklyn Nets franchise.
