July 30: Treveon Graham, Theo Pinson sign

Treveon Graham, once an undrafted free agent, got to live the UDFA’s dream by signing a guaranteed deal for the first time.

Graham’s two-year, $3.2 million deal includes a guaranteed first year after a second season with the Charlotte Hornets that showed he can be an effective piece of a rotation.

More from Nothin' But Nets

After playing a bit part in 2016-17, Graham emerged as a rotation regular last season, playing 16.7 minutes per game and averaging 4.3 points while shooting .434/.412/.695.

The Nets also signed undrafted free agent Theo Pinson to a non-guaranteed one-year deal after Pinson put together a terrific Summer League with Brooklyn’s entry.

Pinson averaged 11.2 points per game in Vegas to go with 4.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks, but more importantly showed a touch from 3-point range that he had not displayed at North Carolina, likely the factor that kept him from being chosen in the draft.

Pinson can play the 1, 2 or 3, can defend all three positions well, attacks the rim, has some handles and seems like a solid all-around player. If that 42.3 percent mark from 3-point range in Las Vegas wasn’t a mirage, he could fight for a spot on the final 15-man roster.

The Nets have added Jordan McLaughlin and Tyler Davis from their Summer League unit to camp contracts, and also signed Mitch Creek, the Australian wing who played this summer with the Dallas Mavericks, to a similar deal.
