Jarrett Allen (NBA 2K19 Player Rating 75)

Jarrett Allen was selected by the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft. Arguably one of the biggest steals in that draft, Allen had a good rookie season with the Brooklyn Nets.

Heading into the season, Allen was expected to spend sometime with the Brooklyn Nets’ G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets. Instead, Allen did not spend any time with the Long Island Nets and stayed on the Nets roster throughout the 2017-18 season.

The rookie big man quickly received more minutes in the beginning of the season and rose to be the Nets starting center a couple months into the season. Allen embraced the starting center job and played well.

On the offensive end, Allen playing style reflects to the traditional big man. He camps near the basket setting screens for drivers. When the ball is in his hands, Allen likes to drive the ball and finish.

His teammates favor throwing lob passes near the rim having good confidence that the big man will finish the play. Allen brings needed front-court dominance to the Nets and good center play.

On the defensive end, Allen is a solid defender. He often gets bullied by opposing centers under the rim leading to fouls but he can play tight defense. He is a block threat for opposing teams who can swat shots into the stands.

Based on his rookie season and other center NBA2K19 ratings, a 75 for Allen is accurate. Other 75 rating centers include:

With that said, Allen’s 75 player rating is an accurate rating for the Brooklyn big man.
