A-. 19 MIN, 13 PTS, 1 REB, 6 AST, 1 STL, +6. PG. Brooklyn Nets. SPENCER DINWIDDIE

Spencer Dinwiddie did his best Wednesday night to show that last season’s breakout was no fluke.

While he missed both of his shots from deep (that hardly made him a lone wolf), Dinwiddie finished with 13 points and a team-high six assists.

He was driving and dealing, taking the lanes when they were there and finishing through contact, getting to the foul line or finding open teammates.

In the second quarter, Dinwiddie correctly surveyed the situation, realizing that his defender was nowhere to be seen. Rookie Kevin Knox tried unsuccessfully to stop the ball and Dinwiddie blew by the kid for a powerful slam dunk.

Knox is a 6-foot-9 combo forward, Dinwiddie is a 6-foot-6 guard with the chops to play the point, so you can’t put all of that on the kid. And if you happen to see Trey Burke, let us know because he was officially listed as “missing” on this sequence.

It was a very solid night for Dinwiddie.
