3. Will Rondae Hollis-Jefferson make an appearance?
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, the longest-tenured member of the Brooklyn Nets as he begins his fourth season with the club, missed the entire preseason with a strained left adductor and was officially listed as questionable for Wednesday night’s game.

With DeMarre Carroll out indefinitely after undergoing a surgical procedure on his right ankle Tuesday, the Nets could use a dose of Hollis-Jefferson, who has been working with the second unit in practice for roughly a week now.
RHJ is a career 23.7 percent shooter from 3-point range and hit 24.1 percent last season. He was said to be working on his shooting range this offseason, before that prep work got interrupted in early August when he was injured during a charity game in China.
Hollis-Jefferson brings energy to the Nets — always has — and the hope is that the 23-year-old can temper some of his tendencies to get a bit out of control while giving the Nets an injection of youth and athleticism as a small 4.
He played a lot of his minutes last year in that small-ball 4 role and responded with career-high averages in points (13.9), rebounds (6.8) and assists (2.5), while hitting a career-best 47.2 percent from the field and 78.8 percent at the line.
Hollis-Jefferson has been a plus defender since he got to Brooklyn in 2015 and with the Nets down two men in the frontcourt (two-way contract player Alan Williams is out Wednesday with a sprained right ankle), being able to work RHJ back into the rotation would be a definite plus.
