Brooklyn Nets at Miami Heat: TV info, live streaming, injury report

The Brooklyn Nets visit the Miami Heat Tuesday night to open a road back-to-back after losing at home to the Heat last week. Here’s how to catch the rematch.

The Brooklyn Nets return to the road Tuesday night, taking on the Miami Heat at AmericanAirlines Arena in the first game of a back-to-back away from home while college basketball’s Legends Classic takes up residence at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

The Nets (7-10) have lost four of their last five, while the Heat (6-10) picked up their lone win in their last six games at Brooklyn on Wednesday.

There will be two key differences for the Nets and Miami this time around — Brooklyn will have center Jarrett Allen Tuesday night after he sat out Wednesday’s game with an illness and the Heat won’t have point guard Goran Dragic, who scored 21 points in the win last week.

Miami will, however, have combo forward James Johnson available. The veteran made his delayed season debut for the Heat on Sunday after being out all season following offseason surgery on a sports hernia. He scored eight points with two assists in 15 minutes in his debut.

Dwyane Wade is also back for the Heat after missing the last seven games on paternity leave. He is a key bench piece for Miami, averaging 14.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 25.7 minutes per game while shooting 45.0 percent overall and 41.7 percent from 3-point range.

The Nets last played on Saturday, losing to the LA Clippers at Barclays Center 127-119 after holding leads of as much as 15 points in the first half and 13 points in the third quarter.

Allen had a big night for Brooklyn, scoring a career-high 24 points to go with 11 rebounds, and D’Angelo Russell added 23 points and 10 assists for the Nets.

Ed Davis also grabbed 11 boards and blocked two shots and Spencer Dinwiddie finished with 11 points and seven assists before fouling out.

The Heat fell into a big hole at home Sunday, never leading while losing their fourth straight at AmericanAirlines Arena to the Los Angeles Lakers, 113-97.

Former Net Wayne Ellington led Miami with 19 points, Bam Adebayo had eight rebounds, Rodney McGruder finished with 14 points and four assists and Hassan Whiteside blocked three shots while being held to just six points on 2-of-9 shooting.

Brooklyn is 49-71 against the Heat since Miami entered the NBA as an expansion club in 1988.

The Heat won 13 games in a row in the series from Nov. 14, 2009, to Jan. 30, 2013, with the Nets’ putting together a five-game streak from March 15, 2002, to April 5, 2003.

Miami scored 134 points — a high in the series — in a 134-119 win on Feb. 6, 1991, at East Rutherford, N.J. The Heat also have the biggest blowout between the clubs in the form of a 108-78 runaway in Miami on March 6, 2012.

Vince Carter‘s 51 points for the New Jersey Nets at Miami on Dec. 23, 2005, is the high game for scorers in the series. Alonzo Mourning had 43 for Miami against the Nets on Feb. 23, 2000, in Miami and Dwyane Wade matched that at East Rutherford on Dec. 20, 2008.

Brooklyn is 8-15 against Miami since moving to the borough in 2012. Brook Lopez has the best scoring output since the move with 33 points in a loss at Barclays Center on Jan. 25, 2017.

Spencer Dinwiddie led the Nets with 18 points and five assists, while Rondae Hollis-Jefferson had 14 points and nine rebounds. Ed Davis, making his first start in nearly two years, also grabbed nine rebounds and D’Angelo Russell scored 12 points to go with five assists.

Tyler Johnson paced Miami with 24 points and two blocked shots. Goran Dragic added 21 points, Justise Winslow had 11 rebounds, Hassan Whiteside finished with 14 points, 10 boards and two blocks and Wayne Ellington racked up three steals.
