The Brooklyn Nets head out on the road, where they are 5-7 this season, looking for a second win at Capital One Arena against the Washington Wizards.

The Brooklyn Nets return to the road Saturday night when they make their second trip to Capital One Arena to face the Washington Wizards.

The Nets (8-15) won at Washington on Nov. 16, beating the Wizards 115-104, but are just 1-6 with five consecutive losses since then.

Brooklyn lost Friday night at home to the Memphis Grizzlies, blowing a seven-point lead in the final 33 seconds of regulation before taking a 131-125 loss in double overtime. It was the Nets’ sixth straight loss at Barclays Center, so a change of venue might be helpful at this point.

More from Nothin' But Nets

The Wizards (8-14) are also on a bit of a skid, dropping their second straight game Friday night when they were blown out on the road by the Philadelphia 76ers, 123-98. Washington is 3-4 since losing to the Nets on Nov. 16.

Washington will also be without noted Nets killer Dwight Howard, as the former three-time Defensive Player of the Year underwent surgery on his back Friday and is out for at least two to three months.

Howard had a team-high 25 points and a game-high 17 rebounds before fouling out in 27 minutes the last time Brooklyn and the Wizards met.

Washington also played Friday night without starting forward Otto Porter, who was out for personal reasons, but is expected to play against the Nets on Saturday, according to Ben Standig of NBC Sports Washington.

Porter was out for personal reasons and was replaced in the starting lineup by veteran Jeff Green.

Here are three things to watch as the Nets take on the Wizards for a 7 p.m. Eastern tip Saturday.
