The Long Island Nets ran their winning streak to 3 games Wednesday night, beating the Windy City Bulls 103-89 in NBA G League action at Nassau Coliseum.

Mitch Creek matched his NBA G League career-high with 25 points Wednesday night and the Long Island Nets won their third straight game, handling the Windy City Bulls 103-89 at Nassau Coliseum.

The 89 points marked a season-low by a Long Island opponent. The Nets had held Raptors 905 to 90 points in a 97-90 road victory on Nov. 9.

Long Island had won at Windy City on Nov. 23 by a 113-99 count.

The Nets (11-4) took control of a close game in the third quarter. After the Bulls (5-12) had pulled to within one at 58-57 on a layup by JaKarr Sampson, Long Island went on 21-8 burst to close out the period, taking a 79-65 lead into the final quarter.

Creek hit 10-of-13 from the floor as the Nets shot 47.8 percent (43-for-90) on the night, hitting 9-for-32 (28.1 percent) from 3-point range and outrebounding Windy City 58-41. The Nets outscored the Bulls in the paint 68-50 and had a 10-4 edge in second-chance points.

Alan Williams, on a two-way contract with the parent Brooklyn Nets, added 18 points and 11 rebounds on 9-of-15 shooting. Jordan McLaughlin finished with 18 points and nine assists.

First-round pick Dzanan Musa, on assignment from Brooklyn, had his string of consecutive 20-point games ended at seven, but still had 17 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. He was 7-for-17 overall and just 2-for-10 from deep.

Brooklyn’s other two-way player, Theo Pinson, logged 13 points and a career-high 10 assists, missing a triple-double by a single rebound., finishing with a career-best nine boards.

The Bulls shot just 40.2 percent (37-for-92) and were 7-for-34 (20.6 percent) from deep.

Sampson, who played for three NBA teams over four seasons, led Windy City with a game-high 29 points and also had seven rebounds.

Walt Lemon Jr., who played briefly with the New Orleans Pelicans last season, finished with 18 points and 12 assists and Rawle Alkins, on a two-way deal with the parent Chicago Bulls, had 17 points. Jon Octeus registered two blocked shots for the Bulls.

Long Island has one more home game before heading to Las Vegas for next weeks NBA G League Showcase, hosting the Maine Red Claws Friday at Nassau Coliseum for a 7 p.m. Eastern tipoff. Maine last played Saturday, losing in triple overtime on the road to the Wisconsin Herd 119-118.
