Brooklyn Nets: Player grades from thorough victory at Chicago
By Phil Watson
Jared Dudley on Sunday did precisely what Brooklyn Nets coach Kenny Atkinson puts him out there do to — hit open shots and keep the ball moving.
Dudley performed very well on both counts after taking a bagel in the scoring column at Memphis on Friday night.
Plus, how can you not love a guy who inspires this?
This is a loose bunch right now. Winning does that for a team.
Treveon Graham missed all four of his shots, went scoreless in 15 minutes … and did a lot to help the Brooklyn Nets win the game.
Defensively, he’s big enough to guard 4s and quick enough to guard 1-3 on the perimeter. He has a nice feel for finding open guys and moving the ball offensively — remarkable considering he was playing in just his fourth game of the season and only his second since mid-October.
The shooting touch will come. Graham showed enough in his two seasons with the Charlotte Hornets to understand he can knock down open shots. It’s as much a question of getting timing and comfort levels back as anything.
Particularly with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson out for the near term, Graham’s role as a switchy defender will be important moving forward.
