Brooklyn Nets: Catching up with former Nets around pro basketball

Thomas Robinson, BeiKong Fly Dragons
Departed Brooklyn: Unrestricted free agent, July 1, 2016
Thomas Robinson became an unrestricted free agent after the 2015-16 season and signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers on Sept. 21, 2016.
After a year with the Lakers, Robinson signed for a season in Russia before getting a free agent deal from the Atlanta Hawks on Aug. 30. Waived on Oct. 13, Robinson eventually signed with the BeiKong Fly Dragons in China on Dec. 3.
Per RealGM, Robinson — who turned 28 next month — has played in 24 games and started 13 with BeiKong, averaging 22.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.9 steals in 31.9 minutes per game, shooting 50.6 percent overall and going 1-for-8 from 3-point range.
The former lottery pick signed with the Nets as an unrestricted free agent on July 9, 2015, with Brooklyn eventually declining his 2016-17 option.
He played in 71 games, starting seven, in his single season with the Nets, averaging 4.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in 12.9 minutes per game while shooting 44.7 percent overall and 0-for-1 from deep.
Henry Sims, Virtus Roma
Departed Brooklyn: Unrestricted free agent, July 1, 2016
Henry Sims became an unrestricted free agent after the 2015-16 season and eventually signed with the Utah Jazz on Sept. 21, 2016.
Waived by the Jazz in October 2016, Sims split that season between the NBA G League and China and played last season in Italy before switching teams to sign with Virtus Roma in Italy on Aug. 6.
Per RealGM, the 28-year-old Sims has started all 22 games he’s played for Virtus Roma in Italy’s second-division Legadue Gold, averaging 20.3 points, 11.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 32.2 minutes per game while shooting 53.1 percent overall and going 0-for-3 from 3-point range.
Sims joined the Nets on the first of two 10-day contracts on March 17, 2016, before signing for the rest of the season on April 6, 2016.
He played in 14 games, starting four, and averaged 6.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 18.8 minutes per game, shooting 42.9 percent overall.
Donald Sloan, Jiangsu Dragons
Departed Brooklyn: Unrestricted free agent, July 1, 2016
An unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2015-16 season, Donald Sloan wound up signing with the Guangdong Southern Tigers for the 2016-17 campaign.
He got a contract as a UFA from the Washington Wizards in August 2017, but was waived at the end of the preseason and wound up in the NBA G League before heading back to Guangdong in Feburary 2018.
Sloan signed on Sept. 26 with the Denver Nuggets for training camp, but was waived on Oct. 12 and returned to China, signing with the Jiangsu Dragons on Nov. 2.
The 31-year-old had played in 31 games, starting 17, and is averaging 26.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.2 steals in 35.8 minutes per game, per RealGM, while shooting 47.4 percent overall and 35.6 percent on 8.9 3-point attempts a game.
Sloan signed a one-year deal with the Nets on Aug. 10, 2015, as an unrestricted free agent after two seasons with the Indiana Pacers.
He played in 61 games in his lone season in Brooklyn, starting 33, and averaging 7.0 points, 4.4 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 21.6 minutes per game, shooting 44.0 percent overall and 38.4 percent on 1.6 deep tries a game.
Jarrett Jack
Departed Brooklyn: Waived, June 30, 2016
Jarrett Jack was waived by the Brooklyn Nets on June 30, 2016, the last day before the start of the new league year. He signed with the Atlanta Hawks on July 14, 2016, but was waived before the season began.
He spent a 10-day contract with the New Orleans Pelicans from Feb. 24-March 6, 2017, before spending last season with the New York Knicks.
New Orleans signed the now-35-year-old on Sept. 19, but he was waived before the season began on Oct. 13 and remains unsigned.
Jack came to the Nets along with Sergey Karasev from the Cleveland Cavaliers, in a deal that saw the Nets send Marcus Thornton to the Boston Celtics and the rights to second-round picks Edin Bavcic and Ilkan Karaman to Cleveland.
The Cavs sent Tyler Zeller and a 2016 first-round pick to the Celtics.
Jack spent two seasons in Brooklyn, missing much of 2015-16 with a knee injury.
In 112 games, 59 of them starts, he averaged 12.2 points, 5.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 29.2 minutes per game, shooting 42.5 percent overall and 28.2 percent on 2.2 3-point attempts per game.
Earl Clark, Buducnost
Departed Brooklyn: Waived, Aug. 10, 2015
Earl Clark has been out of the NBA since being waived by the Brooklyn Nets on Aug. 10, 2015.
He spent a season in the NBA G League before signing to play in Turkey for the next two seasons. Clark, who turned 31 last month, signed with Buducnost in Montenegro on June 16.
Per RealGM, Clark has started 41 of his 44 games this season in the Adriatic League, the Adriatic League Supercup and Euroleague play, averaging 12.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in 27.4 minutes per game, shooting 42.7 percent overall and 35.4 percent on 3.7 3-point attempts per game.
Clark joined the Nets on a 10-day contract on March 27, 2015, and signed a multiyear deal on April 6, 2015.
He made 10 appearances for Brooklyn and averaged 2.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in 9.3 minutes per game, shooting 36.7 percent overall and going 4-for-14 from deep.
