Dzanan Musa

Dzanan Musa is a big wild card for the Brooklyn Nets going forward. He gained a lot of experience in the G-League with some success as a shooter, but that doesn’t always translate to NBA success.

The Nets have Musa on a first-round rookie contract for the next three years and general manager Sean Marks used the 29th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft to select the young Bosnian, so he must have faith Musa can be successful at the NBA level.

For Musa to become a useful cog in the Nets’ system he must add strength, improve his defense and work on his ball handling and driving ability. He is difficult to assess because he has barely played in the NBA, but the potential is there.

Like Kurucs, I expect Musa to play a lot in the Summer League and we’ll know more about his viability as an NBA player soon enough.

If Musa can elevate his game in the summer and get some meaningful minutes on the Nets NBA roster he would get the chance to prove himself. If successful he would give the Nets some good depth on the perimeter.
