#11) Washington Wizards

This is a tortured fan base that deserves our sympathy. There have been better days for DC’s lone basketball team, the Washington Wizards.

They had a relatively busy offseason, but it just feels like they’re stuck in the mud, the tires are spinning but there’s no real progress.

Pointing out the John Wall contract is adding insult to injury, it’s tough to find anyone that can reasonably defend the contract, or is in favor of it. Rumors surrounding Bradley Beal are going to be rampant, there’s no escaping it if you’re a Wizards fan.

Despite all this, the Wiz can still muster out 30+ wins—that’s what a talent of Beal’s magnitude can do for you.

The 26-year-old is fresh off a campaign that saw him average 25.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.7 blocks on a rather efficient 58.1 TS% given his current situation.

Perhaps Isaiah Thomas has a return to pre-hip injury form, or Rui Hachimura has a rookie season for the ages, or the opposite occurs and Wizards fans are stuck in the reality of another season that results in the lottery. Good news: it’s a pretty fun lottery team to watch.
