10. Brook Lopez, 2013 First Round Game 5

With the Nets facing elimination in their inaugural playoff series in Brooklyn, Brook Lopez poured in 28 points and 10 rebounds to stave off elimination. Fun Fact: the first NBA playoff game I attended.

9. Caris LeVert, 2019 First Round Game 3

The Caris LeVert who single-handedly won the Nets a game in Boston in early March was born in this playoff series. LeVert caught absolute fire in the second quarter when he poured in 19 points, including 14 in a row to turn an eight-point deficit into a tie ballgame. The baby Nets fell in this one.

8 (tie). Joe Johnson, 2014 First Round Game 3 + Game 5

Joe Johnson iced a 102-98 victory with two late free throws on a night he poured in 29 (remarkably, he had zero rebounds). 5 days later, his 32 wasn’t enough as the Nets fell behind 3-2 — more on this series later.

7. Reggie Evans, 2013 First Round Game 6

Reggie Evans needed to be on this list. A fan-favorite and Dennis Rodman protege (on the court, at least), Evans shook off his Game 4 free-throw shooting performance (5-12) with a very Reggie Evans-esque game featuring 2 pts and 15 boards in a must-win road game against the Bulls. He couldn’t shoot free throws and often relied on the Brooklyn crowd to cheer him on, but he gobbled down rebounds like they were candy.

Legend has it they’re still cheering.

6. Mirza Teletovic, 2014 EC Semifinals Game 3

The Nets beat a prime “Big 3” team in the playoffs. Yes. This really happened. Mirza Teletovic canned two 3’s in a row towards the end of the 3rd Quarter to put the Nets up 13 on the two-time defending champs. For all his inconsistencies, watching Miami call a full timeout to regroup after getting torched by Telly made it all worth it.
