1. Ime Udoka, Philadelphia 76ers

Ime Udoka was included in The Athletic’s report as a name Brooklyn is monitoring as a coaching candidate, and we are fully on board with appointing the current Philadelphia 76ers assistant the head man.

Not only does the 43-year-old have seven years of experience playing in the NBA, which we love in a coach, but he more importantly won a championship with the San Antonio Spurs while serving as Gregg Popovich’s most trusted assistant for seven years. Inject the Nets hiring somebody who’s immersed in the Spurs’ culture right into our veins, please.

Udoka has since moved on to Philadelphia, where his prospects as a potential HC have skyrocketed. Though the Sixers are an incredibly talented team, fans would be the first to admit that they win in spite of head coach Brett Brown. We back that notion, and would take it a step further by saying that Philly would be a dumpster fire without Udoka.

If the Nets do choose to move on from Vaughn, then the 76ers assistant should be their top choice, no question about it.
