Bleacher Report took on the Nets and Kevin Durant in their latest animated NBA preview.

Fans of B/R’s “Game of Zones” and “Gridiron Heights” got a new piece of content to whet their appetite on Thursday, as the site’s new preview for “Role Players,” their latest animated venture, dropped. And, naturally, now that the Nets have two of the biggest — and most meme-able — stars in the game, they were the focus of the short clip.

No, Bleacher didn’t talk about Brooklyn’s ridiculous success in the Bubble, where unheralded players like Chris Chiozza have joined Caris LeVert to make a statement. That would involve too much high praise.

Instead, they focused on Kevin Durant’s introduction to the locker room, detailing the type of snafu that the Slim Reaper might actually be getting into on a near-daily basis.

Yes, we get it. Durant does love to clap back at his haters on social media, and yes, it would make total sense for him to use an automated app to do so at this point.

Next season, he’ll just have to make sure to recalibrate the thing so that it doesn’t go after the people he’s staked his reputation upon.

After all, if you haven’t popped in all the right parameters, an automatic trash-talking device would definitely target Kyrie Irving more often than not. The dude provides endless material.

DeAndre Jordan, too. Man, this show really accurately portrayed him in two seconds, didn’t it?

Get ready for this type of chatter throughout 2020-21, Nets fans. As soon as the Bubble ends, we go from underdogs to top dogs, and we won’t be able to escape the KD-Kyrie jokes from the mainstream arms of sports media.

It’ll be fine, though. When you’re winning with big-name players, it comes with the territory.

Hopefully, we make enough of a name for ourselves in BK that they ditch the “New Jersey” joke going forward, though. All we ask.
