1. 76ers to Lose Out, Of Course!
Man, wouldn’t it have been nice if we hadn’t punted that tiebreaker game with fourth-stringers a few weeks back…only to nearly rally and win anyway? Memories. Good times.
Anyway, somehow the Philadelphia 76ers have let us get hot. Don’t let us get hot!
Philly’s squandered away numerous chances to close the Brooklyn Nets’ coffin door, yet somehow the deficit for the top seed remains at just a single game with two contests remaining.
This one’s simple. The Nets have to defeat the Bulls and Cavs over the weekend. The Sixers have to return home and struggle against the Magic Friday night (second game of a back-to-back after returning from Miami!), then fall to the…well, the Magic again on Sunday.
This will not be easy. It will, however, be the clearest rooting interest we have remaining.
Study up on Orlando. Replay the Cole Anthony buzzer beater on loop. Google their roster and realize Khem Birch is in Toronto now. Passionately complain that Mo Bamba needs more run. Embody a Magic fan. Live and breathe Magic. Get a Disney Season Pass and realize that’s a tremendous waste of money.
Handle your business and focus most of the rest of your energy on the 76ers losing in humbling fashion, securing an easier path to the Finals for our squad. You can do this. We believe in you.
