2: Seth Curry

Brooklyn could use a player like Curry, right? Not Steph, but Seth Curry. He’s in his ninth year in the league and this is the first time that he’s played on the same team for two consecutive seasons.

Curry is averaging a career-high 15.5 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game. He’s shooting a career-high 49.7% from the field and 40.3% from the 3-point line.

The Nets need a shooter and Curry fits the description.

After being traded to Philadelphia a little over a year ago from Dallas, he’s having one of the best years of his career, although his 3-point percentage has dropped. He’d still be a valuable get for Brooklyn, who struggles to score when Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving aren’t on the floor.

His field goal percentage is the 28th best in the NBA (yes, he’s ahead of his brother). Durant (52%) and LaMarcus Aldridge (55.5%) are the only two Nets players who have higher percentages. Think about how nice it would be to have all three of those guys on the same team.

Curry signed a four-year, $32 million contract with the Mavericks in July of 2019. He’s making $8.2 million this season and will make $8.5 million next year before becoming an unrestricted free agent after the 2022-23 season.
