Brooklyn Nets White Jean-Michel Basquiat Jerseys Are Fire

Much like the Nets did with their “Bed-Stuy” jerseys during the 2019-20 season, the Brooklyn Nets are rumored to be remixing their above Jean-Michel Basquiat jerseys with an inverted white background for the upcoming season.

SportsLogos.net leaked these uniforms last February with assistance from Casey Vitelli and Twitter user @skunwong32. These sources possess a solid track record, having leaked countless other uniforms in years past that teams have gone on to wear such as Brooklyn’s city editions from last year.

These jerseys are an absolute home run. They feel like the Miami Heat’s “White Hot” jerseys from the early 2010s, but of course with Brooklyn’s flavor by way of the Basquiat paint.

They also represent the team adequately right now. Brooklyn famously wore the original Basquiats during the height of their original “big three” era of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden. But now with Ben Simmons in Harden’s place, they have a similar, but still different “big three.”

With these threads, the Nets subtly bring back the “scary hours” Nets vibes, while still acknowledging that this year’s team is different.

It also helps that two seasons ago, Kevin Durant noted that he along with a few other Nets wanted to try out a white version of the original Basquiat jerseys. These threads look sick, would please the fans, and the players. What more could you want?
