Brooklyn Nets Underrated Head Coach Option: Eric Khoury

Currently serving as the head coach for the Toronto Raptors G-League team, Eric Khoury is a name unbeknownst to most casual NBA fans. However, his high value as a prospect in the Raptors organization is common knowledge.

Khoury was named to The Athletic‘s 40 under 40 this past spring for his quick ascension in the league. For those hoping that analytics might solve Brooklyn’s issues, Khoury is your guy. He rose up through Toronto’s analytics department to take that G-League head coaching position, becoming the youngest person to do so in franchise history.

We might not want to admit it with them being a rival, but the Raptors have been one of the league’s best-run organizations in the past decade. ESPN recently ranked them in their top five management rankings just as further proof.

Adding Khoury might not be the safest move given Brooklyn’s need for stability rather than a lottery ticket. However, swiping the boy wonder from this already well-reputable organization could be the move of all moves for the future.
