2. Scottie Barnes

Scottie Barnes is another guy who has also made a significant leap in his young career, like Cunningham and Thomas. Barnes is averaging 22.6 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game this season. Barnes is also keeping up his 1.1 steals per game pace.

However, it is noteworthy to add Barnes, his shooting lights out this season from the field (51.3%) and from downtown (42.1%).

He also frequently demonstrates his underrated strength and speed for someone who is 6’8 and 240 lbs.

1. Tyrese Maxey

Tyrese Maxey is the leading candidate for Most Improved Player. No longer hiding behind James Harden, Maxey is averaging 26.2 points per game while shooting an incredible 47.1% from three-point range. The Kentucky Wildcat is averaging 5.2 rebounds per game despite being just 6’2.

He is also developing into a true playmaker, averaging 6.6 assists a night while consistently getting his Philly teammates involved.

Maxey is a solid offensive point guard who can both pass and score at a high level. His limitless range also makes him a three-level scorer.
