The Brooklyn Nets are trying to fight down the stretch to get into the NBA Play-In Tournament. Brooklyn, two games back of the No. 10 Atlanta Hawks, has won three of its last four games after sweeping a back-to-back against Atlanta last week. Brooklyn continues a four-game homestand Monday night, welcoming the Memphis Grizzlies to Barclays Center.

Memphis is looking forward to the NBA Draft after being ravished by injuries this season. The Grizzlies are on a five-game losing streak after losing back-to-back games at home to Portland. Can they hang inside the big number Monday night?

Grizzlies vs. Nets key players to watch

Grizzlies

Santi Aldama: Based on injuries and increased usage, Aldama should have a big month in an unproven Grizzlies lineup for the rest of the season. The former first-round pick has turned in 27 points and 16 rebounds in two games in March and is coming off a 21-point (his most since November), 8-rebound night in Saturday’s overtime loss to Portland.

Nets

Nic Claxton: The former second-round pick is averaging 11.8 points per game while shooting 62.1% from the field. The fifth-year center is 13th in the NBA in rebounding (9.9 per game) and is coming off a 12-point, 13-rebound double-double in Saturday’s 114-102 win over Atlanta.

Grizzlies vs. Nets prediction and pick

It’s usually difficult to lay points with sub-par teams, so it’s fair to see the Grizzlies as a team to back as a big underdog in a bounce-back spot. However, the Nets have won by margin in three of their last four games, which includes a 111-86 victory over the Grizzlies in Memphis.

NBA unders have gone an astounding 61-25-1 (71%) since the All-Star Break and it’s easy to see another low-scoring rock fight at Barclays Center this season between two teams that have combined to go 66-52-2 to the under this season.

Brooklyn, No. 19 in defensive rating, is No. 13 in second-chance points allowed and No. 7 in points in the paint permitted and will face Memphis, last in the NBA in offensive rating, which continues to be decimated by injuries.

The Grizzlies are projected to be without Ziaire Williams and Jaren Jackson Jr., leaving an inexperienced lineup on the floor against a Nets’ defense that just held them to 38.7% shooting and forced 14 turnovers just one week ago.

Brooklyn’s offense is just No. 23 in scoring this season and No. 27 in shooting percentage and will be short handed, as well, Monday night without Cam Thomas (20.9 points per game) to complement Mikal Bridges. Go with the under.
