The New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets face off on Wednesday night in the first game back from a West Coast trip for both teams.

Brooklyn won both games in this matchup at Barclays Center last season, but I’m focused on the prop market in this matchup for my favorite bets.

There are two Nets that may be undervalued on Wednesday, and one Knicks guard that continues to play at an All-Star level.

Let’s break down the picks for this matchup:

Best NBA prop bets today for Knicks vs. Nets

  • Mikal Bridges OVER 2.5 3-pointers made
  • Nicolas Claxton 1Q Rebounds OVER 2.5
  • Jalen Brunson OVER 2.5 3-pointers made

Mikal Bridges OVER 2.5 3-pointers made

Mikal Bridges at plus money to go OVER 2.5 3-point shots? Sign me up.

Bridges has hit at least three shots from deep in six of his last eight games, shooting an insane 48.9 percent from beyond the arc over that stretch.

New York struggles to defend the 3, allowing opponents to shoot 37.4 percent from deep – good for 19th in the NBA.

Nicolas Claxton 1Q Rebounds OVER 2.5

This is a fade of Jericho Sims, or Taj Gibson since Sims is questionable, if Tom Thibodeau keeps Isaiah Hartenstein with the second unit.

Sims has been dominated as the starting center, giving up massive games to Jusuf Nurkic and Ivica Zubac in the first few minutes. He’s now nursing an ankle injury.

This season, Claxton is averaging 2.8 rebounds per game in the first quarter, so the fact that he’s at plus money to grab three boards is a little crazy to me. I think he easily clears this if Sims starts.

Jalen Brunson OVER 2.5 3-pointers made

The Nets are one of the worst teams in the NBA at defending the 3-point shot, allowing opponents to make 13.8 3s per game (23rd in the NBA).

Brunson is shooting the lights out this season (46.0 percent from 3) and has made at least three shots from deep in 14 of his 26 games this season. He’s attempted at least five shots from deep in 11 straight matchups.

I love him to go OVER this on Wednesday night.
