Takeaways

1. The Nets continue to allow offensive rebounds

The Nets have struggled with rebounding all season. That continued against the Warriors, where JaVale McGee single handedly out-hustled the Nets in the first quarter. He used his length to take away seemingly easy Nets rebounds, which energized both the Warriors bench and the fans at Oracle Arena. Brooklyn allowed the Warriors to grab 13 offensive rebounds, led by McGee with six.

2. Send me your energy!

While the box score may not have showed it, the Nets played with more fire (ahem, Brooklyn Grit) compared to Brooklyn’s blowout loss against the Denver Nuggets. Against an all time great team like the Warriors, the Nets fought back from large deficits. They contained Draymond Green to five points, and forced four turnovers for Stephen Curry. The effort has to be commended.

3. Isaiah Whitehead can jam

Isaiah Whitehead had a relatively subpar game, with 9 points, 4 assists, and 4 turnovers. But he had the highlight of the night with his poster on James Michael McAdoo. His spin moves will forever be known as The Cyclone. But any suggestions on what his dunks should be called?
