Player of the Game

A-. Another game, another great Brook Lopez performance. Against a big bruiser like Jusuf Nurkic, Lopez held his own. He was able to score even when swarmed with white Portland jerseys. Defensively, Lopez had two huge blocks in the second quarter to swing the momentum the Nets’ way leading up to the half. With 26 points, Lopez continues to show that he’s worth more than just a low first-round pick. (Are you reading this, NBA GM’s?). C. Brooklyn Nets. BROOK LOPEZ

Wildcard

A-. SK has his best game in what seems like forever. He scored over 20
points for the first time since December 26th, the Randy Foye buzzer
beater game. Kilpatrick was the Nets’ best player, making shots when the
Nets were desperate. Kilpatrick’s six three-pointers set a personal
career-high. Even in a loss, this is a great sign for Kilpatrick, who
has struggled as of late.. SG. Brooklyn Nets. SEAN KILPATRICK

PF. Brooklyn Nets. TREVOR BOOKER. C. While Trevor Booker had decent stats: six points and five rebounds, he looked a little out of control in Portland. Booker committed three turnovers, some of which occurred in the Nets’ first quarter TO barrage. He was subbed into the game in the first after Rondae Hollis-Jefferson missed several key plays on offense and defense. But, Booker underperformed. Quincy Acy had another solid game playing the four, so there could be a glut for minutes at the power forward slot.
