Free Agency

Muscala is set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer. There has been little released about which teams will pursue the seven–footer, but it should be noted that he made a cameo on former Orlando Magic General Manager, Rob Hennigan’s infamous whiteboard picture. However, any team who is looking for a stretch big with upside this summer may give Muscala’s camp a call.

When speaking about Caris LeVert recently, Sean Marks said that after first talking with the former Wolverine, he and his colleagues knew LeVert was a “Brooklyn Net.” The Moose certainly fits the mold of a Nets player from a culture standpoint and from a stylistic standpoint.

Additionally, Brooklyn currently seems to be the place to go for NBA players looking for an opportunity to show their full arsenal of skills. Some of these gambles have worked out, (Sean Kilpatrick, Quincy Acy), while a few simply don’t possess the skills to have sustained success in the NBA (Justin Hamilton).

Muscala’s contemporary big man skill-set should be reason enough for Kenny Atkinson and the Brooklyn Nets should give him a look.
