Kyle Korver
Kyle Korver seems to be a perfect fit for Kenny Atkinson’s offense. The 51st pick of the 2003 draft was actually a New Jersey Nets draft pick but he was traded to Philadelphia before being
able to don a Nets uniform.
Since then, Korver has gone on to establish himself as one of the league’s all time great 3-point shooters.
Korver is a 43 percent 3-point shooter for his career. He currently stands at fifth on the all-time list for 3-pointers made.
He is by all accounts a glove fit for the Brooklyn Nets.
No Nets fan would balk at the team signing the forward out of Creighton. They would only balk at the price tag.
Korver isn’t going to generate any maximum offers in free agency. 36-year-olds with limited athleticism typically don’t garner an exorbitant price tag.
There is a limit to how much the Nets should spend on him however. Anything more than $20 million over two years is pushing it.
If Marks can sell Korver on serving in the Randy Foye role and taking a modest salary then there is a potential fit with the Nets.
If there isn’t…there isn’t a Korver fit with the Brooklyn Nets.
