5. Miami Heat

Pat Riley can throw down all of his championship rings on the table in a meeting with Teodosic. He can tell the tales of the Heat’s championship glory he helped create.

That will be all well and good. At the end of the day Miami already has a top 10 point guard in Goran Dragic.

The Heat are a team on the upswing. After starting off 11-30, the team rallied and ended the season with a 41-41 record.

The team saw unheralded players like Dion Waiters and James Johnson rise and play the best basketball of their careers.

Unfortunately those guys will be free agents. It is likely the team will spend whatever it takes to retain their core.

It is unlikely the team drops big money on an unproven backup point guard. Even if the team wanted to start Teodosic alongside the Dragon, it would be sacrificing too much defense to do so.

The Heat are a great destination for any prospective free agent. They just make more sense going after a wing like Gordon Hayward than Teodosic.
