2. Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz could be the perfect fit for Teodosic. They can fit his demands perfectly. That is only if the team sees every worst case scenario come to fruition.

The team will need a replacement if incumbent point guard George Hill seeks a new home. Things will get even murkier if Gordon Hayward skips town for greener pastures.

Jazz coach Quinn Snyder was an ex-CSKA Moskow assistant coach. The team may need a starting point guard if Hill bolts. The team may have a dearth of talent if Hayward bolts.

The match is ideal. At least it seems ideal.

Teodosic would command a large salary by Utah’s standards. The team doesn’t tend to hand out contracts larger than $12 million, which is the ceiling of Teodosic’s potential new deal. Only three players make more than that, which includes Hayward’s player option that he is likely to decline.

Utah could pony up for the foreigner’s massive potential. Teodosic is the best player not in the NBA according to ESPN’s Fran Fraschilla.

It may also focus on a short-term rebuild. The team didn’t want to pay up for Paul Milsap or Al Jefferson a few years ago. It likely isn’t going to change its tune.

Teodosic could very well fit in purple and blue. He could form a nasty pick-and-roll combo with center Rudy Gobert in a modern offense.

The team is more likely to pass on the unproven floor general though.
