1. Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets are a glove fit for Teodosic’s services.

The team needs a point guard. 35-year-old Jameer Nelson isn’t the answer. Though he led the team to a near-eighth-place finish this past season he isn’t likely to find a second wind and finish the job next season.

Emmanuel Mudiay offers plenty of intrigue and upside. The only thing holding him back is his actual results. He has had a tenuous career so far to say the least.

The Nuggets owe all of their success last season to budding superstar Nikola Jokic. Okay maybe not all of it. Just most it.

The team may just be missing one piece. Could Teodosic be the missing link?

The floor general has a history of success with the Nuggets’ franchise centerpiece. The two led the Serbian National team to a silver medal finish in the 2016 Olympics.

Denver also has plenty of cap space to work with this offseason. That number could grow even larger if the team lets Danillo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler walk.

The Nuggets even have the best chance to become a contender quickly. They could package plenty of draft picks and young talent to acquire a superstar.

Denver offers the best chance for Teodosic to get paid and become a contender. The Nets may hope that the Nuggets aren’t one of his top suitors.
