Much has been made of the Brooklyn Nets’ potential to win a championship in 2020-21. This team sold off most of their depth and defense in order to bring James Harden to town with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. But what can’t be denied is that Brooklyn’s trio of stars will put on a show on the offensive end every single night.

With All-Star voting officially opening soon, Brooklyn fans that had to watch years of nearly unwatchable basketball are now wondering if all three of their best players will end up with a spot in the All-Star Game.

Looking purely at the numbers, there’s no reason that Durant, Irving and Harden shouldn’t end up as All-Stars.

Brooklyn Nets studs Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden are all playing like All-Stars

Durant is the most likely All-Star of the three. He’s averaging 30.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game in his first season on the court in Brooklyn. The always-clutch Irving is averaging a career-high 27.9 points per game this year, all the while shooting 52% from the field and 42% from three. Irving has been a six-time All-Star before this season, but this might be as good as we’ve seen him.

Much has been made about Harden’s scoring numbers decreasing, as he’s averaging almost 10 fewer points per game than he did when he won the scoring title in Houston last season. But he’s still dominating the game in a different fashion. Harden’s 24.5 points per game average has been paired with 11.1 assists, including 11.9 per game after his trade to Brooklyn. While the East’s All-Star field is crowded this year, these three all have compelling cases.

While all three stars might be conceding some shots as they learn to play together, the success of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh with the Miami Heat proved that a trio of superstars can both win games and receive individual accolades.

If they keep this production steady, all three of them will end up getting their deserved All-Star designations.
