The Brooklyn Nets avenged their embarrassing season-opening loss to Milwaukee with a comeback victory over Philadelphia on Friday.

The Nets trailed throughout the game, but outscored the 76ers 29-18 in the fourth quarter to pull out the win. Kevin Durant and James Harden led the way by scoring a combined 49 points. That’s to be expected, though.

LaMarcus Aldridge, on the other hand, really stepped up on a night where most of Brooklyn’s role players struggled. The veteran big man chipped in with 23 points on 10-of-12 (!) shooting and finished with a team high +21 in the box score.

Fresh off that comeback win, the Nets will look to make it two in a row on Sunday against a Hornets team that’s gotten spectacular point guard play from LaMelo Ball thus far and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Nets vs 76ers Odds, Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick

Per our friends at WynnBET, the Nets are -9 favorites against the spread. They’ll have -115 odds (bet $115 to win $100) to cover. On the moneyline, Brooklyn is favored -425 (bet $425 to win $100), while the Hornets clock in at +325 (bet $100 to win $325). Pretty clear Vegas thinks the Nets will win this one.

The over/under for Sunday is set at a 233.5 points, with both both the over and under getting -110 odds (bet $110 to win $100). At the rate these offenses are getting buckets, we wouldn’t advise betting the under.

Brooklyn Nets vs Charlotte Hornets Prediction

Charlotte has started off hot, but their streak ends here. They simply don’t have the horses to compete with the Nets’ rotation. Ball will likely pad the stat sheet, but Durant and Harden will prove to be too overwhelming.

We’d feel different about the Hornets’ chances if Terry Rozier was playing. Without the dynamic guard in the lineup, the likes of Gordon Hayward, Kelly Oubre Jr. and Ish Smith will be called upon to fill the void offensively.

That fits right into the Nets’ wheelhouse, so, like Vegas, we’re expecting a comfortable win for Brooklyn.

Nets 118, Hornets 106.
