The Brooklyn Nets‘ rivalry with the New York Knicks is well-documented, and it figures to be turned up several notches this season given that the Knicks are currently battling for the best record in the Eastern Conference.

Kevin Durant has famously been quoted saying that playing for the Knicks isn’t cool anymore. Julius Randle made enemies of Nets fans by poking fun at Brooklyn’s superteam last year, even though their star power proved to be the difference in all three of the team’s matchups in 2020-21.

Unfortunately, the Nets and Knicks won’t lock horns until Nov. 30, meaning we have to wait another month for the rivalry to be reignited.

In the meantime, though, it appears Nets fans are ready to carry the load in the trash-talking department leading up to that matchup.

Over the weekend, a Knicks fan account on Twitter attempted to flame the Nets over their admittedly cheap ticket prices. Little did the account know that it walked right into getting destroyed by Nets Twitter.

In a roast for the ages, one Nets fan clapped back by highlighting the vital flaw in the account’s punchline.

Brooklyn Nets fans wasted no time trolling this Knicks fan account on Twitter over ticket prices.

Oops! Remember, folks: any time you try to attack a rival team on Twitter, make sure you leave no room for getting trolled. After all, there’s always somebody waiting to play devil’s advocate. This was too easy for @JDeZerga.

If we’re being honest, Knicks fans flexing their Twitter muscles SIX games into the season is embarrassing. Who wouldn’t want to watch Kevin Durant and James Harden play basketball for pocket change?

If you’re gonna troll, get your money’s worth, like this Nets fan.

Sad, but true.

Why pay hundreds of dollars to watch Julius Randle capitulate in crunch time and blow double-digit fourth quarter leads when you can spend $10 to watch Kevin Durant and James Harden put defenders in a blender?

With all that leftover money, Nets fans could probably wipe their tears with a Benjamin Franklin, right?

Meanwhile, in Knicks land, fans will spend the next month saving up so they can attend another game at Madison Square Garden.

For Monday’s game at The Garden (vs the unexciting Raptors), you’d have to spend nearly $50 … for a seat in the upper deck! You’d literally need binoculars to see the court. Seats that would actually be worth it run between $100-200.

Don’t even get us started on courtside tickets at MSG. Anyone have an extra $1,200 lying around in their piggybanks? Didn’t think so.

Let this serve as a lesson to any big-chested Knicks fans who want to blast the Nets for their ticket prices. Just don’t even bother.
