Nets Game Tonight: Nets vs. Celtics prediction, betting odds, TV channel for Nov. 24
The Brooklyn Nets end their Eastern Conference road trip with a primetime game at TD Garden on Wednesday against the Boston Celtics. Brooklyn sits at 13-5 on the season and is in first place in the Eastern Conference, while Boston is 10-8 and in sixth.
The game will be the first time that the teams have met during the 2021-22 season. The last time they played against each other, the Nets beat the Celtics in the first round of the 2021 playoffs.
Brooklyn beat Cleveland on Monday, 117-112. After sitting out last Friday with a right shoulder sprain, Kevin Durant led the Nets with 27 points. LaMarcus Aldridge came off the bench and was the Nets’ second-highest scorer with 21 points and 11 rebounds, his first double-double with the team.
Boston is coming off a 108-90 win over Houston. Jayson Tatum scored 30 points and Jaylen Brown finished with 19 in his first game in over two weeks. The Celtics have won their last three games, as have the Nets.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Boston Celtics betting odds, spread, over/under
According to WynnBET, Brooklyn is a two-point favorite on the road against Boston. The Nets are -130 on the moneyline and the Celtics are +110. The over/under for the game is set at 214.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Celtics prediction
Wednesday’s game will be the toughest matchup that Brooklyn has faced in its past three games. With Brown back in the lineup for Boston, the Nets will have to find a way to stop both him and Tatum despite fairly weak perimeter defense. Somehow, though, the Nets play better on the road, having won seven of their 10 away games.
On Monday, four players other than Durant scored in double-digits for Brooklyn. Rookie Cam Thomas put through a career-high 11 points and shot 4-of-7 from the field. Patty Mills has taken over for an injured Joe Harris in the starting lineup and is averaging 17 points in his four starts.
The Nets will be hard to stop once they find a way to score consistently, and they’ve been able to do that by switching up the starting rotation. With Bruce Brown out for the second straight game, along with the lingering possibility that Aldridge will start, Steve Nash will continue to experiment to find the team’s best assortment of five players.
We’re taking the Nets -2 and over 214 points.
Brooklyn 112, Boston 108.
