Nets Game Tonight: Nets vs. Bulls prediction, betting odds, TV channel for Jan. 12
For the third time this season, the Brooklyn Nets will take on the Chicago Bulls. Brooklyn’s second in the East with a 25-14 record and Chicago’s in first at 27-11.
The Nets haven’t gotten off to a good start in 2022. The team’s lost five of its last seven games, and their two wins have come against the Pacers and Spurs.
Brooklyn fell to Portland on Monday, 114-108, in the second game of a back-to-back. Kevin Durant led the Nets with 28 points (9-of-19) and 10 rebounds in 42 minutes. Kyrie Irving scored 22 points (9-of-21) in 40 minutes and had an injury scare.
After destroying Detroit on Tuesday night, 133-87, Chicago has a quick turnaround. Nikola Vucevic led the Bulls with 22 points (10-of-18). DeMar DeRozan finished with 20 points (8-of-13) and 12 rebounds.
James Harden didn’t play against the Trail Blazers (left knee hyperextension) and is questionable for tonight’s game in Chicago. Both Nic Claxton (hamstring) and Irving (left ankle sprain) are questionable as well. LaMarcus Aldridge is out (right foot).
Alex Caruso entered the health and safety protocols for the Bulls for Jan. 5.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls betting odds, spread, over/under
According to WynnBET, Chicago’s the 1-point favorite over Brooklyn. The Bulls are -120 on the moneyline while the Nets are +100. The over/under is set for 229 points.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls prediction
Although Chicago’s been on a tear, since Brooklyn now has Irving, I believe that the Nets will be able to pull out a win. Irving is listed as questionable, but he said after Monday’s game that he’d be available to play against the Bulls. However, if he and Harden don’t play, the outcome of the game will be completely different.
We’re taking Brooklyn +1 and over 229 points.
Brooklyn 122, Chicago 117.
