The Brooklyn Nets are back at Barclays Center for the second-straight game to take on the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday. The 26-15 Nets are in third place in the East, while the 16-26 Pelicans are 12th in the West.

Brooklyn fell to 11-11 at home on Thursday in a 130-109 loss to Oklahoma City. James Harden led the Nets with 26 points (7-of-22), nine assists, and seven rebounds. Cam Thomas contributed 21 points (8-of-18) off the bench.

The team was without Kevin Durant (rest), Patty Mills (rest), Nic Claxton (hamstring), LaMarcus Aldridge (foot), Kyrie Irving (out), and Joe Harris (surgery) in the loss.

New Orleans beat the Clippers, 113-89, on Thursday. Brandon Ingram scored a game-high 24 points (10-of-19). Jonas Valanciunas had 18 points (7-of-12) and 16 rebounds.

The Pelicans have won three of their last four games, but are 0-1 against Brooklyn. The Nets beat them on Nov. 12, 120-112, in New Orleans. Harden had 39 points and 12 assists.

Zion Williamson (foot) is out for the Pelicans, as he’s doing his rehab away from the team’s facilities. Kira Lewis Jr. is out for the season with a torn ACL that he suffered on Dec. 8.

Brooklyn Nets vs. New Orleans Pelicans betting odds, spread, over/under

Brooklyn Nets vs. New Orleans Pelicans prediction

The Nets aren’t the best team at home, but because both Durant and Mills got to rest on Thursday night, Brooklyn has the advantage after a grueling travel week. The contest poses a good opportunity for the Nets to get a bounce-back win before hitting the road.

We’re taking the Nets -8.5 and over 227 points.

Brooklyn 122, New Orleans 111.
