Nets Game Tonight: Nets vs. Wizards prediction, betting odds, TV channel for Jan. 19
The Brooklyn Nets will continue their road trip with a stop in D.C. to take on the Washington Wizards. The 27-16 Nets are in third place in the East and the 23-21 Wizards are in eighth.
On Monday, Brooklyn fell to Cleveland, 114-107. Kyrie Irving led the Nets with 27 points (12-of-23), nine assists, and seven rebounds. James Harden scored 22 (5-of-12) and had 10 assists and seven rebounds.
The loss came a day after it was announced that Kevin Durant suffered a sprained MCL in the game against New Orleans on Saturday. Brooklyn hasn’t given an exact timetable for Durant’s return but based on the injury, it’s been estimated that he’ll be out for 4-to-6 weeks.
Washington beat Philadelphia on Monday, 117-98. Montrezl Harrell scored 18 points (6-of-9) off the bench added seven rebounds. Kyle Kuzma finished with 15 points (6-of-13) and 16 rebounds.
The two teams last played each other on Oct. 25 and the Nets got the 104-90 win. Durant scored a game-high 25 points.
Brooklyn will be without KD, Nic Claxton (hamstring), Paul Millsap (personal reasons), and Harris (ankle surgery). DeAndre’ Bembry (back spasm) is listed as questionable.
