The Brooklyn Nets are in Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Jazz on Friday night. The 29-22 Nets are in sixth place in the East and the 31-21 Jazz are fourth in the West.

The Nets will hope to snap their six-game losing skid against the Jazz. Brooklyn collapsed against Sacramento on Wednesday for a 112-101 loss. Nic Claxton scored a team-high 23 points (9-of-11) and added 11 rebounds. James Johnson scored 18 (8-of-11) off the bench. Kyrie Irving and James Harden combined for 20 points.

Utah completed its season sweep against Denver on Wednesday with a 108-104 win. Trent Forrest scored a season-high 18 points (6-of-7). Mike Conley finished with 17 (6-of-14).

The Jazz suffered a tough blow on Sunday when Joe Ingles went down with season-ending a torn ACL. Rudy Gobert (calf), Hassan Whiteside (back), and Jordan Clarkson (knee) are listed as questionable. Danuel House Jr. (health and safety protocols) is out.

The Nets will be without Kevin Durant (MCL), Joe Harris (ankle), LaMarcus Aldridge (ankle), David Duke Jr. (two-way), and Paul Millsap (out).

Brooklyn Nets vs. Utah Jazz betting odds, spread, over/under

According to WynnBET, Utah is the 4.5-point favorite over Brooklyn. The Jazz sit at -200 on the moneyline and the Nets are +165 on the moneyline. The over/under for the game is set at 230.5 points.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Utah Jazz prediction

This is a game that Brooklyn needs to win. The Nets are at risk of being in the play-in tournament and that’s a far cry from where they should be, injuries or not.

Harden and Irving are going to have to step up and redeem their poor performances against the Kings. Utah’s a much tougher team than Sacramento, although the Jazz are working through a series of injuries right now as well.

Regardless, it feels like Brooklyn’s going to come out a far different team than the one that showed up on Wednesday.

We’re taking the Nets -4.5 and under 230.5 points.

Brooklyn 116, Utah 111.
