Nets vs. Nuggets prediction, betting odds, TV channel for Feb. 6
The Brooklyn Nets are in trouble but will have another opportunity to break their losing skid in Colorado on Sunday against the Denver Nuggets. The 29-23 Nets are in sixth place in the East and the 28-24 Nuggets are sixth in the West.
Brooklyn has lost its last seven games. The Nets were in Salt Lake City on Friday night and were blown out, 125-102. Rookie Cam Thomas scored a career-high 30 points (11-of-19) off the bench. Kyrie Irving had 15 points (6-of-20) and six assists.
Denver hosted New Orleans on Friday and lost, 113-105. Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 25 points (7-of-10), 12 rebounds, and nine assists. Monte Morris scored 19 (6-of-12).
Brooklyn’s struggled in Kevin Durant’s absence and the bad news is continuing to pile up. Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that the Nets and Sixers are going to engage in talks about James Harden ahead of the Feb. 10 trade deadline.
Durant (MCL), Joe Harris (ankle), LaMarcus Aldridge (ankle), David Duke Jr. (two-way), and Paul Millsap (out) will be out for Brooklyn. Harden (hamstring) and Nic Claxton (hamstring) are listed as questionable.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Denver Nuggets betting odds, spread, over/under
According to WynnBET, the Nuggets are the five-point favorites over the Nets. Denver is -210 on the moneyline and Brooklyn is +170. The over/under for the game is set at 232 points.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Denver Nuggets prediction
It’s looking like the Nets are going to extend their losing streak to eight. I expect Harden to be out for the second-straight game and even if he does play, my hopes still aren’t high.
Irving’s had issues with scoring the past two games and Brooklyn doesn’t have enough players that can step up to help on the offensive end. Until Durant comes back, it’s going to continue to be ugly.
We’re taking the Nuggets -5 and under 232 points.
Denver 112, Brooklyn 102.
