Nets vs. Wizards prediction, betting odds, and TV channel for Feb. 17
In their final game before the All-Star break, the Brooklyn Nets will host the Washington Wizards on Thursday. The 31-27 Nets are in eighth place in the East and the 25-31 Wizards are in 11th.
On Wednesday night, Brooklyn came back from a 28-point deficit and defeated New York, 111-106. Rookie Cam Thomas led the Nets with 21 points (9-of-21) off the bench and nailed a 3-point dagger with less than 10 seconds left to play in the game. Seth Curry shot 6-of-9 from behind the arc and finished with 20 points.
Washington fell to Indiana on Wednesday, 113-108. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored a team-high 27 points (9-of-18). Kyle Kuzma had 26 points and 15 rebounds.
The two team’s met last Thursday in D.C. and the Wizards escaped with the 113-112 win. Thomas scored a game-high 27 points (11-of-18).
Washington will be without Bradley Beal (wrist), Kristaps Porzingis (knee), and Daniel Gafford (conditioning). Rui Hachimura (ankle) is listed as questionable.
Kevin Durant (sprained MCL), Ben Simmons (conditioning), Joe Harris (ankle), and Kyrie Irving (ineligible) will be out for Brooklyn.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Washington Wizards betting odds, spread, over/under
According to WynnBET, the Nets are the 4.5-point favorites over the Wizards. Brooklyn sits at -190 on the moneyline and Washington is +155. The over/under for the game is set at 215 points.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Washington Wizards prediction
Thursday’s game is the second half of a back-to-back for the Nets, but the Wizards are in the same position. However, Washington’s at more of a disadvantage due to having to travel from Indiana to Brooklyn.
After a historic comeback win, the energy is on the Nets side. Curry’s shooting and Andre Drummond’s rebounding abilities have been a huge boost for Brooklyn. I believe that the team will extend their winning streak to three games.
We’re taking the Nets -4.5 and over 215 points.
Brooklyn 116, Washington 107.
