2. Cameron Johnson

Johnson’s stats aren’t exactly a disappointment when you take a first glance. 13.7 points and 5.0 rebounds aren’t anything to squabble at, but he’s on this list because he’s played in just 6 out of Brooklyn’s 13 games thus far. Despite his on-court struggles, Johnson has been helping those in need in the Brooklyn community.

The best ability is availability, and right now, Johnson, another piece from the Kevin Durant trade, is not living up to expectations because he isn’t on the court much. Not to mention, like Bridges, his scoring efficiency is down from last season’s 25 games with the Nets. The UNC product averaged 16.6 points on 46.8% towards the end of 2022-23, compared to 13.7 on 40.8% in 2023-24.

Johnson suffered a calf injury early in the season but recovered and played in Sunday night’s loss against the Philadelphia 76ers, contributing 9 points, 5 boards, and 2 assists. Hopefully, he starts to get it going soon now that he’s back on the court.
