Nets Rumors: Bojan Bogdanovic Close to Being Traded
By Sandy Mui
Bojan Bogdanovic is drawing interest from multiple NBA teams, and the Brooklyn Nets are close to trading him.
Just two days ago, The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski said in a pre-deadline discussion with Chris Mannix that the Washington Wizards were interested in wing players, including the Brooklyn Nets’ Bojan Bogdanovic. Earlier today, Wojnarowski revealed that the Nets are in even deeper trade talks involving Bogdanovic.
According to Wojnarowski, the Nets have received numerous offers for the 27-year-old swingman and are nearing a trade.
As an offensive-minded player who can play at both wing positions, Bogdanovic would be a great addition to any team looking to add depth to its bench. What he lacks on defense, he makes up for on offense. The Croatian is averaging 14.2 points per game through 55 contests this season, while shooting 35.7 percent from three-point territory.

Last month, Keith Smith reported that the Nets were shopping Bogdanovic and Brook Lopez. However, aside from that, the only other trade rumor to emerge on Bogdanovic’s front entailed the Wizards’ interest in wings. Still, the Nets are looking for their tenth win of the season at the All-Star break, so it’s not surprising that trade rumors are heating up with just two days until the trade deadline.

Additionally, last January, Sporting News reported that the Charlotte Hornets expressed interest in Bogdanovic and even called the Nets to try to make a deal. Evidently, nothing came to fruition on that end, with the sharpshooter spending his third NBA season in Brooklyn.
Currently, it appears the Nets are heavily involved in the trade market. Earlier today, ESPN’s Marc Stein reported that they lowered the asking price for Lopez. Two rumors in the same day for two different Nets players insinuate that the team is desperate to make a move before the clock strikes 3 PM on Thursday.
