The Brooklyn Nets host the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night after a six-game road trip. Not only are the Dubs the best team in the league with an 11-2 record, but the matchup will also feature MVP candidates Kevin Durant and Steph Curry.
Both the Nets and Warriors are 8-2 in their last 10 games, so we’re getting a marquee matchup between two of the hottest squads in the NBA.
Golden State has been dominant behind Curry’s 28.1 points per game. The Lakers were expected to be the top team in the Western Conference, but the Warriors have stolen the show. And all of this has taken place in Klay Thompson’s absence, who is expected to return in either December or January.
On Tuesday, the Nets will be without starter Joe Harris, who suffered an ankle sprain in Sunday’s game against Oklahoma City. But fear not, because James Harden finished with at least a double-double in the past six games (two of those being a triple-double), so he’s slowly starting to regain his form. This could be a preview of the NBA Finals, and the odds are in Brooklyn’s favor to top Golden State.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Warriors prediction
With the Nets heating up and getting to play at home, I foresee Brooklyn getting the win. KD’s played incredible basketball, and considering Harden’s recent play it’ll be hard for the Warriors to neutralize both talents. Perhaps the emergence of a new face in the starting lineup will also help Brooklyn to rejuvenate itself on the offensive end.
The Warriors have adopted the underdog mindset after being overlooked at the start of the year. Curry went 7-of-22 from the field for 24 points in Sunday’s loss, and while Tuesday could be a rebound game for him, the Nets’ defense has been a pleasant surprise. Though Golden State is one of the best defensive teams in the league, they haven’t faced Durant, who leads the league in scoring, yet.
We’re taking the Nets -3 and over 222 points.
Brooklyn 128, Golden State 123.

There’s a reason why LaMarcus Aldridge isn’t starting for the Nets
LaMarcus Aldridge is the third-best scorer on the Brooklyn Nets through the team's first 14 games, but that doesn't mean he needs to be a starter.
