The Brooklyn Nets will have yet another chance to break their losing streak on Saturday night against the Miami Heat, although it won’t be easy. The 29-26 Nets are in eighth place in the East and the 36-20 Heat are in first.

On Thursday, Brooklyn lost to Washington, 113-112. Kyrie Irving led the Nets with 31 points (9-of-22). Cam Thomas finished with 27 points (11-of-18).

Miami’s last victim was New Orleans. The Heat secured their fourth-straight win with a 112-97 victory on Thursday. Jimmy Butler (9-of-16) and Bam Adebayo (13-of-21) both had 29 points. Adebayo also contributed on the boards with 10 rebounds. Kyle Lowry had 14 points (5-of-9), 11 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Victor Oladipo (knee) and Markieff Morris (neck) will be out for the Heat. P.J. Tucker (knee), Tyler Herro (knee), and Caleb Martin (Achilles) are listed as questionable.

Seth Curry and Andre Drummond joined the team in Florida and are listed as questionable. Sean Marks said in his press conference on Friday that it’s too soon to determine a debut for Ben Simmons.

Brooklyn will be without Kevin Durant (MCL), Joe Harris (ankle), LaMarcus Aldridge (ankle), Nic Claxton (hamstring), and Simmons.

The two teams met earlier this year in New York on Oct. 27 and Miami won, 106-93.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Miami Heat betting odds, spread, over/under

According to WynnBET, the Heat are the 10.5-point favorites over the Nets. Miami is -625 on the moneyline and Brooklyn is +450. The over/under for the game is 220.5 points.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Miami Heat prediction

If this game were to take place after the All-Star break, it’d be a different story. However, the Nets will once again be without some of their top players against the best team in the conference. If only Brooklyn would’ve been able to break its losing streak against Washington because it isn’t going to happen against Miami.

We’re going with the Heat -10.5 and over 220.5 points.

Miami 116, Brooklyn 107.
