3. Jacque Vaughn

Coming in at number three, we have the most recent holder of the team's head coaching position in Jacque Vaughn.

Though he never technically was able to see a complete season running the show for the Nets, frankly, throughout his tenure he never seemed to earn such a right.

With his brief stint as interim head coach back in 2020 combined with his latest run from November 2022 through February 19, 2024, Vaughn finds himself exiting from the organization with a regular season record of 71-65, giving him the fourth-highest winning percentage (.522) for the franchise as a whole since the turn of the century.

Of course, adding context into this metric will almost certainly make such a rank far less impressive, as he was seemingly carried by having the likes of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving within his arsenal.

This era alone accounted for 36 of his total wins (over 50 percent) and, since both superstars departed, he has only mustered up a record of 34-48 (.414).

His 54 games this year have easily proven to be the biggest indicator that he's done a sub-par job running the club, for not only has he led them to a lackluster record of 21-33, but he's also received ample and much-deserved criticism for his minutes distributions and wonky late-game decision-making.
