A vintage 1930s CBS broadcast microphone used by US President Franklin Roosevelt for his 'fireside chats' is on display on April 11, 2012at the Smithsonian Mueseum of American History in Washington, DC, during the press preview for “American Stories,” a signature new exhibition showcasing stories about the American experience. “American Stories,” opening April 12, takes the visitor on a journey through time by telling well and little-known stories about the American experience.
